Your Welfare
Welfare means different things to different people. We want to ensure that whether you are looking for support, resources of campaigning ideas, we have something to show you. We believe that Welfare is political, and it is something that as an organisation we have been working on embedding into the work we do. If you want to get involved or find out more, please email welfare@cusu.cam.ac.uk

Self-care is about taking the time to check in with yourself and making sure you are doing what is best for your mental, physical and emotional health. Self-care is not an indulgence or a luxury or even a precaution - it should be seen as a necessary part of our lives to ensure wellbeing and sustain the motivation, creativity and energy we need to function, and more importantly, to stay happy. That said, there's no one solid definition of self-care or conception of what self-care must look like - it can take many forms and it's different to everyone. Sometimes it's about setting boundaries, saying no or disengaging from the news or negative media. Sometimes it's as easy as just taking a bath and turning off your phone, and sometimes it can feel quite tough, like practicing self-discipline and doing what's best, even if it's not what's easiest.
