Homerton College Boat Club (HCBC) can trace its origins back to 1893, where students of the college formed the first female rowing club, rowing on the River Lea. We are now proud to have 2 regular men's and women's VIIIs, a number that is increasing every year due to large influxes of enthusiastic novices.
The club is now fully run by students and is open to all members of the college regardless of their academic or sporting backgrounds. We pride ourselves on the strong feeling of friendship and support that is visible within the club. As part of a college that is undergoing constant and rapid change, HCBC continues to evolve and improve, fostering change and development, striving for excellence every step of the way.
