Queens’ College Graduate Choir is a vocal ensemble made up mostly (but not exclusively) of current and recent graduates of Queens’ College. Around 25-strong, the choir performs a wide variety of music, from sacred motets to pop classics (one recent performance of “Fly me off the Handel” was especially memorable…).
There are regular opportunities to perform in College – MCR Christmas dinners and the Staff Carol Service in Michaelmas, the Battle of the Choirs © in Lent, and the MCR Garden Party in Easter, as well as Graduate Concerts every term.
The Graduate Choir membership represent a broad range of ages, subjects and singing experience, and emphasis in rehearsal is placed on improving as singers, exploring the choral repertoire, and having fun!
In 2014-2015 the Choir meets every Thursday from 6:30 to 7:30 pm in Queens’ College Chapel.
There are no auditions – all that’s required is a desire to sing!
