From 60mph bumper-to-bumper endurance karting two inches off the ground, to late night navigational rallying and taster sessions in sports cars; CUAC caters for the petrolheads of Cambridge at all levels!
You don't need a car, driving license or any experience whatsoever to come to our open kart races and compete in the CUAC karting championship and novices are always welcome. More experienced drivers can move through the ranks to compete in the annual Cuppers race and go on to represent Cambridge in the British Universities' Karting Championship and acheive blues status; racing against some of the finest young talent in the country; for racing in the BUKC is completely free thanks to sponsorship from mFlor.
Founded in 1902, we're the second oldest motorsport club in the country, with a history including Grands Prix and a string of endurance records. Most of our racing today is in karts because of the low prices, but our road rallies and trips out (recently to watch the Le Mans 24hr) keep car racing on the agenda, and we'll take on any activity there's demand for.
CUAC is a sports club dedicated to race driving: don't expect the technical CV material from us you'd get with more engineering-oriented societies, but if you'd rather drive it than draw it we're the most fun you'll find!
To find out more, drop us an email or turn up to one of our Sunday pub meets: usually at The Castle, advertised on the mailing list each week!
