Email Forwarding

Communication within a society can often become difficult due to frequent changes of the officer who runs that society. Rather than members having to change who to email, CUSU offers societies a reserved @cusu.cam.ac.uk alias address which can then be forwarded to the current officer's address.

Societies registered on both old and new CUSU sites

If you need to update the forwarding address please go to your Society's page on the old website, log in, and click on 'Update'.

Please note: Societies using this feature that were registered on the old website (cusu.cam.ac.uk) will not need to set up forwarding for the new website; this will automatically happen once the transferral process of the old to new website has taken place.

Societies registered only to the new CUSU site:

New societies that are only registered to the new website need to visit the directory page (login required via Raven), click on the 'Add New' tab, and fill out the details.

Setting the alias as an outgoing address

The societyname@cusu.cam.ac.uk alias system is not a real email account, just a forwarding address.

However, you can set the email address as an outgoing address in your mail client, so that emails appear to come from that address rather than your real email address.

Select your web client from the list below for instructions on how to set this up.
