King's College Welfare Grid

Of respondents to the CUSU Big Cambridge Survey 2015, 81.41% of the 58 students who said that they had accessed support from their tutors reported that it was excellent. Students at King’s College can easily access policies on harassment however there is not a Fitness to Study policy. The Students’ Union Advice Service website is clearly linked from their College website. They do have access to a College Nurse who provides mental health support; there is also a College hotline to a trained mental health advisor. Student-facing staff, including porters and tutors, have access to training in Mental Health Awareness and Equality and Diversity although College Porters do not receive unconscious bias training.

Students who do not receive government grants can still get financial support from the college.

If students wish to intermit they will be given pastoral support when returning to University and will continue to have access to the College intranet during their intermission.
