Homerton College Welfare Grid

Of respondents to the CUSU Big Cambridge Survey 2015, 79.58% of the 114 students who said that they had accessed support from their tutors reported that it was excellent.  Students at Homerton can easily access a policy on harassment and the College does have a Fitness to Study policy. The Students’ Union Advice Service website is clearly linked from their College website. They do have access to the College Nurse who also provides mental health support alongside a Counsellor. Some College Porters and Tutors also have basic metal heath training. Many student-facing staff have received training in Mental Health Awareness and College Porters do not receive unconscious bias training.

Students who do not receive government grants can still get financial support from the college.

If students wish to intermit support is given on returning to University on a case-by-case basis. They recommend that returners take the course offered by the University Counselling Service. Student will continue to have access to the College intranet.
