The Freshers' Fair takes place across two locations:
- Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre
- Parker' Piece
On Parker's Piece there is a combination of stalls outside and within the marquee. Please see below for venue specific access information.
The Fair is located in the main sports hall of Kelsey Kerridge. The main entrance is up 4 flights of stairs. There is a lift for wheelchair access located at the Stall Holders entrance here:
Once you arrive you will need to ring the assistance bell on the lift for the access key, a steward can retrieve this for you. Once allocations and layout have been confirmed a map will be available.
Parker’s Piece – Marquee
There is wheelchair access. There is an accessible toilet, a gender neutral toilet, general car parking, and blue badge parking. There isn't seating.
The main entrance to the marquee is on Parker’s Piece, however there is temporary road matting on the grass leading up to the venues and from the exit of the venue connected to the pathway.
Parker’s Piece – outdoor stalls
Whilst the majority of the Freshers’ Fair takes place inside either Kelsey Kerridge Sports Centre, or the Activities Tent, there are also a number of stalls located on Parker’s Piece.
A route is laid out by using the temporary road matting; however there may be a few stalls that stray a bit further away from this.
Each day at the fair there will an access hour. During this time we will turn of all music and reduce the capacity of the fair. To gain immediate access to the fair during these hours you we have passes that allow the holder to skip the queues. These can be collected from either the Disabled Students' Officer or Disbaility Resource Centre. These will be available nearer the date of the fair. I
- Tuesday - 16:00
- Wednesday - 10:00
It is worth noting that the fair is at its busiest between 12:00-14:00 on both days.
