Welcome to the Week 5 Bulletin. I hope you’re all getting through Week 5 ok – it can be a notoriously stressful week so make sure you are looking after yourself and checking in with your friends to see how they’re doing. The CUSU team has been out and about with free tea, coffee and treats for you as a little pick-me-up and our free, confidential Student Advice Service is always there for you if you want someone to talk to about anything that’s on your mind. Just email firstname.lastname@example.org and one of the Advice Team will be in touch to see how they can help.
On Monday we’ll be holding an Extraordinary CUSU Council to determine how CUSU should respond to the news that the National Union of Students has withdrawn support from the National Demonstration for Free Education planned for the 19th of November – an event which CUSU Council voted to support earlier this term. If you think it is important that we continue to attend the event, think that safety concerns are too great, or just want to find out more about the arguments on either side then come along the Small Exams Hall on the New Museums Site at 7:30pm. As ever, we will have free pizza for anyone who comes along.
Finally, with winter setting in, make sure that you have bike lights ready if you’re going to be cycling after dark. You can pick up a set from CUSU for just £8.
