Week 8 is finally here and so is the penultimate bulletin of the year. Thanks to everyone who came to our slightly damp garden party on Saturday - it was great to meet and get talking to so many of you!
As one of the most access-focused students' unions in the country, CUSU spends lots of resources working to raise aspirations in potential applicants from backgrounds which have historically been underrepresented in the University. In recent years we have sought to broaden this work to cover the experiences of these students once they arrive and throughout their time at Cambridge.
To further this work, this week we are launching an exciting research project into the experiences of students who are the first generation in their family to go to University, or whose parents followed non-traditional routes through higher education such as studying later in life or through distance learning e.g. the Open University.
Sound like you? Then take 5 minutes to fill in our survey and give us the vital information we need to work with the University to ensure students like you have the best possible student experience. Take the survey here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/cusugen1
If you're not all surveyed out, remember that you only have 2 days left to take the Big Cambridge Survey and be entered into a £100 prize draw. Data from this survey will drive our campaigns and projects over the next year and make sure that CUSU's work focuses on the areas that really effect students. Enjoy May Week, everyone!
All the best,
