It's finally the end of term! A big thank you to everyone who went out and voted in the CUSU election last week; the new officer team will be taking over on the 1st July. We will be running by-elections for the positions of CUSU-GU Welfare & Rights Officer, CUSU Coordinator and GU President next term. If you've got any questions or want to run, get in touch with me! (email@example.com)
We have been going around colleges gathering feedback on the elections and what students want from their student's union. If you would like us to visit your college or have an open meeting coming up that a sabbatical officer could attend please contact me.
We are running Target Schools workshops next week for anyone thinking of visiting their old school over the holidays to talk about life at Cambridge. Email Sam (firstname.lastname@example.org) to sign up! The cost of living campaign is also ongoing so look out for posters in your college letting you know more about our work on student finances, and ask your M/JCR committee about it!
Last but not least the Big Cambridge Survey is open for another two weeks only! This survey is your chance to comment on all areas of student life - not just your teaching - and will give CUSU direction for next year. So whether it's expensive buttery charges or low supervision hours, make sure you take part to tell us your gripe! All respondents will be entered into a £200 random cash prize draw and the college with the most respondents will also win a prize for their J/MCR. Take part here! www.cusu.cam.ac.uk/bigsurvey
I hope you all take the holidays as a chance to have a well-deserved rest and refresh yourselves for next term.
