We're halfway through the term and have so far avoided any snow... I hope you're all having an excellent week.
This week is full of lots of exciting stuff but perhaps most exciting of all... The CUSU ELECTIONS are coming! Nominations for the elections open on Monday 17 February and close at midday on Monday 24 February. Myself and the rest of the CUSU team are very excited to see who will be running! If you're thinking about it and you're not sure, sign up to attend Shadow a Sabb or come along to our initial Q&A session (see details for both below). The sabbatical team love hearing from you, so you can also email with any questions, request for info etc.
The graduates among you may well have seen the CUSU Graduate Experience Survey circulated by your MCR. If not, please see below for a link and some information on this incredibly important campaign concerning College Graduate Fee rises and how this links with your college experience. Please fill in the survey and pass it on to your friends and colleagues. The more responses CUSU has, the better!
CUSU's impacts this week have been far reaching:
- We spoke at and supported the staff strike on Thursday
- Around 120 prospective students are visiting Cambridge on the last weekend of the Shadowing Scheme
- We ran six training sessions (covering Graduate Fees, sexual health and Women's Campaign consent workshops)
- We attended 6 collegiate university committees and I met with the Vice-Chancellor
Don't forget you can access the CUSU-GU Student Advice for non-directive advice and guidance through its new drop-in sessions (see more info below) or you can drop them an email at email@example.com or call them on 01223 746999.
That's all from me; enjoy the myriad of events and society info below :)
