The CUSU team continues to wish you all the best with your work this term - you're almost at the finish line! We look forward to celebrating with as many of you as possible at the CUSU Garden Party on the 14 June :)
At the Garden Party we'll be presenting the CUSU Student Awards 2014. Nominations for these awards are open until this Sunday, 8 June – so if you have a great JCR/MCR or officer in your college, know someone who has inspired you to volunteer and do more, or are part of a society that really goes above and beyond, make sure you nominate them!
It is coming to the time of year when we are looking forward to summer and the July Open Days. The Admissions Office and CUSU Access need students to come back to Cambridge on Thursday 4th and Friday 5th July in order to help show Year 12 students around Cambridge. This is a paid opportunity, so if you have the time in July and are interested in access make sure you sign up!
Things in the CUSU office have been a little quieter this week and we're using the time to do lots of internal work. We've been looking again at our constitution after last term's referendum and have been focusing on reaching the Year 1 targets of our brand new 2014-17 Strategic Plan. We've also started negotiations with the university about our rapidly impending premises move in June next year; we need as much student support to get a bigger, better city centre space for you, so keep an eye out for that in the coming months.
Lastly, if you feel like you need any extra help or advice on a problem exam related or not you can always contact the CUSU-GU Student Advice Service. This professional, confidential service is free and open to any student about any issue. You can find the Advice Service at the Graduate Union or at CUSU. They are contactable on email@example.com or 01223 746999.
Have a great week,
