Your voice, your students' union

Welcome to week 4! This week CUSU is coming to you, in your College, Department and Faculty, to talk about exactly what your students' union is and does, what we can better do for you, and how you can get involved. Look out for the series of posters across Cambridge with 31 different things CUSU does, and keep your eyes peeled for CUSU officers doing talks and question & answer sessions, as well as nights in College bars, answering any questions you have and asking you about how CUSU can work for you!
This week also sees the last weekend of this year's CUSU Shadowing Scheme. A big thank you goes out to everyone who has volunteered and given up their time to help - it simply could not happen without such a brilliant set of volunteers! This year we’ve brought over 370 students from underprivileged backgrounds to Cambridge to show what university life is really like. If you weren’t able to get involved with the Shadowing Scheme this year, check out the CUSU website for information about our work helping students go back to their schools and explaining more about Cambridge and Higher Education.
Following work from the CUSU Women's Campaign and other local groups, the City Council is hoping to introduce new lighting on Parker's Piece and is currently trialling a new scheme. They need students to fill in the survey to make the case for it being permanent - find the link below. Also, watch out for CUSU Ethical Affairs Green Week which starts on Monday, and the start of Cambridge Mental Health Week this Thursday 14th - look out for music, entertainment, lectures, guest speakers and the Big Chill.
This week has so many opportunities to learn about all of the great things students get involved in across the University - check them out below - why not try out something new for yourself?
Enjoy your week,
