As you may have seen, Cambridge SU will be launching next month on Monday 13th July and we are very excited about what the new students’ union will have to offer to students. I am pleased to announce that Cambridge SU will have a brand new website that we have been developing in partnership with our new website provider, Membership Solutions Ltd (MSL).
The website will have a fresh new look and design, making it easier for students to navigate and find the information and resources they need. We know how important it is for the students’ union to be as open and as accessible as possible for students and our new website will help to do exactly that.
The Cambridge SU website will come with a new online voting system, allowing elections to be run more easily and with greater flexibility. The new system will also allow voters to confidentially self-identify into different liberation groups when voting, helping ensure that voting in liberation officer roles is reserved for students in those groups.
With a revamped clubs and societies directory, it will be easier than ever for students to find clubs and societies that they wish to join through Cambridge SU. Clubs and societies will also be able to manage their own membership lists, mailing lists and events through the SU website, providing new opportunities for student engagement and reducing the administrative burden on committee members.
Finally, the new Cambridge SU website will provide more services to our Cambridge SU Campaigns, particularly when it comes to managing finances, ensuring they are properly supported in the fantastic work they do for students in Cambridge.
Improving student engagement and supporting clubs and societies has always been at the heart of Cambridge SU’s mission and the new website will be central in realising that vision. Make sure to check it out when it goes live on Monday 13th July!
