As has been reported, the Regent House voted to retain the public publication of Class Lists. Full details of the final vote can be found here. This of course is in line with our recent change in policy, following the recent referendum on the question “Should CUSU campaign to keep the class lists with an easier opt- out process?” and we are encouraged that the student view was taken into consideration in that vote. It shows more than ever, that CUSU’s ability to influence decisions at the University level remains strong even at such short notice. However, the vote at Regent House only addressed the first half of the question put to students.
Talks have already begun with the University to work on how an easier opt-out process can be implemented quickly and we look forward to having the same success, in influencing University decisions, as we have had thus far. We aim to update progress on that front at the CUSU Councils in Lent term. If there are any questions on the matter please feel free to contact Amatey Doku, the CUSU President, at email@example.com
